I am one of the founders
and organizers of Cafe
Scientifique Sycracuse, a monthly gathering of scientists and, more importantly,
interested members of the public, to discuss current topics in science.
I am the founder and
current organizer of Saturday
Morning Physics, a series of public lectures on contemporary topics in
modern physics.
With Don Marolf I am mentoring
a high school student, John Best, on a 3-year project on early universe cosmology.
I was involved in a High
School mentoring program with Hathaway Brown school. My three students completed
a web page on the cosmic microwave
background as part of their learning about the early universe.
