PHY351/651 This course is designed as an introduction to the computational and instrumental techniques used in modern experimental particle physics, medical physics, and solid state physics laboratories. It is geared towards undergraduate students interested in experimental physics research, and graduate students planning to get an introduction to experimental research.
PHY568 This course covers an array of topics in quantum mechanics, including:
  • an introduction to quantum statistical Mechanics
  • computational techniques, such as perturbation theory or the variational principle
  • paradoxes and puzzles in quantum mechanics such as the EPR paradox and the Schrodinger cat.
